- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- Certified Scrum Master/Scrum Practitioner with a deep understanding of all things Agile (i.e., Scrum, Kanban, Lean) with practical experience in Scrum Master roles.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master / Project Manager in a software development team.
- Strong understanding of and demonstrated experience in using Agile Project Management tools.
- Excellent skills and knowledge of leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
- Exceptional communication, organization, and team building skills. Must be proactive, meticulous, and innovative, capable of managing multiple priorities and tasks in a dynamic work environment.
- Experience in facilitating teamwork and continual improvement of the team.
The Scrum Master is responsible for facilitating project planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos, and other Scrum-related meetings. They will track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress, maintain process documentation, and ensure the development teams are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility.
Responsibilities shall include (but not be limited to):
- Facilitate the Scrum process from initiation through delivery. Serve as liaisons between the product owner, development team, and executive stakeholders.
- Ensure team effectiveness and project success by removing impediments, fostering an environment of growth, facilitating meetings, and supporting the product owner.
- Coordinate and monitor the Scrum process from initiation through delivery. Keep stakeholders informed of progress and issues.
- Manage projects in Gitlab; ensuring all project deliverables are in scope, and act as a facilitator ensuring that the project team follows the Agile methodologies.
- Develop and maintain a productive working relationship with project stakeholders.
- Assess project risks and issues, provide solutions where applicable, ensure timely and effective communications to all levels of stakeholders.
- Ensure the development teams are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility.
- Update management team to provide transparency on Product & Sprint Backlogs.
